To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will seek the assistance of the European Commission and Council of Ministers in obtaining satisfactory assurances from the Swiss Government about reforms in their company law and practice.

There have been no representations on this specific issue, but discussions between the Community and EFTA countries cover a. wide range of trade issues, including the impact of the single market 1992 campaign.
