HC Deb 13 May 1988 vol 133 c275W
Mr. Tony Lloyd

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether his Department has given written evidence to the inquiry by the Civil Aviation Authority into the charges imposed by Heathrow Airport plc for freight movements between Heathrow and non-BAA airports: and when he expects the CAA to reach a decision.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

In accordance with section 42 of the Airports Act 1986, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State gave written advice to the CAA in October 1987 relating to the charging practices of the other countries involved in the dispute. The CAA expects to complete its investigation and issue a decision by late summer.
