§ Mr. NichollsFrom 5 September, employment training will replace the majority of MSC programmes for unemployed adults including the voluntary projects programme. However, some projects may continue until March 1989.
Employment training combines the best features of current programmes including VPP and we expect that many current VPP providers will move forward into the new programme. Employment training will include special arrangements for an extended introduction to training for disadvantaged clients, similar to that developed through the VPP in recent years.
