Mr. Dobson

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) further to the statement on the P and O dispute on 5 May,Official Report, column 1017, if he will give details of each offence for which people were arrested, the date and place of each arrest and whether the person arrested has been convicted;

(2) further to the statement on the P and O dispute on 5 May, Official Report, column 1017, whether any arrests have been made following alleged threats of intimidation; and to whom the threats were reported.

16 April One arrest for obstruction (cautioned and released).
18 April One arrest for assault on the police, entering and remaining on the docks without authority and obstruction (charged and bailed to appear in court on 23 May).
26 April Four arrests for assault on the police and obstruction (all charged and bailed to appear in court on 6 June).
27 April Two arrests for breach of the peace (released without being charged).
29 April One arrest for breach of the peace (released without being charged).
30 April One arrest for breach of the peace (released without being charged); and two arrests under section 4 of the Public Order Act 1986 (one charged and bailed to appear in court on 6 June and one released without charge); and one arrest under section 5 of the Public Order Act 1968 (charged and bailed to appear in court on 6 June).
5 May One arrest under section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986 (charged and bailed to appear in court on 13 June); and one arrest for obstruction of the highway and breach of the peace (charged and bailed to appear in court on 13 June).
6 May One arrest for criminal damage to the homes of two working seamen (charged, bailed and due to re-appear in court on 19 May).
10 May One arrest for criminal damage to a working seaman's vehicle (charged and due to appear in court on 11 May).

All the arrests except those for criminal damage occurred in close proximity to Dover eastern dock. Reports to the police of intimidation are being recorded and investigated.
