HC Deb 12 May 1988 vol 133 c203W
Mr. John D. Taylor

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when a flag was last flown on the flag pole at the public buildings, known as Maryfields, near Belfast; which flag it was; and what are the instructions for flying the Union flag at these premises.

Mr. Stanley

The last flag flown at Maryfield was the Union flag, on 21 August 1985. Since the secretariat of the Intergovernmental Conference has been housed in the building, the policy has been to fly no flags there.
