§ Mr. Grist[holding answer 9 May 1988]: None. Departmental funding to support the activities of PPA (Wales) at the all-Wales level is made direct, not through local authorities. Funds provided by the Department to Clwyd under the all-Wales mental handicap strategy may be used in approved schemes to fund appropriate activities of voluntary groups, including local PPA groups, but the 74W decision to provide funds for approved schemes, and the level of funding provided, is a matter for the authority to determine.
