To ask the Minister for the Civil Service what progress has been made in ensuring that women are represented at senior levels in the Civil Service.

We are committed to equality of opportunity for women in the Civil Service and good progress has been made. I recently placed a copy of the report "Equal Opportunities for Woman in the Civil Service" in the Library: this sets out the progress made and priorities for further action.
