§ Mr. MossTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has had any representations from Nirex or other private companies regarding nuclear waste dumping in the areas of (i) the Fens of north Cambridgeshire and south Lincolnshire or (ii) the Wash; and if he has instigated in his Department any inquiries as to the feasibility of such dumping in the said areas.
§ Mr. MoynihanMy right hon. Friend has received no representations from Nirex or other private companies regarding the disposal of radioactive waste in the Fens or the Wash. Investigations into the feasibility of using any part of the country for a disposal facility are a matter for Nirex.
