Mr. Leighton

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what are the characteristics of the unemployed in the urban development area of London docklands, including age, gender and previous employment.

The tables show the number of male and female unemployed claimants, by age, in each of the London boroughs which cover the London docklands area, on the latest available date, 14 January 1988. Information on the nature of previous employment of unemployed claimants is unavailable.
