HL Deb 09 May 1988 vol 496 c962WA
Lord Stanley of Alderley

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are aware of the danger to insect life, particularly to the bees and ladybirds, if the chemical Aphox is not cleared for use in the raspberry crop and whether they will take immediate action to allow its use for this season.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Baroness Trumpington)

Aphox is already approved for use on raspberries. I will write to my noble friend with details of the approval.
