§ Mr. BowisTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress is being made in implementating the Foreign Compensation (Czechoslovakia) Order 1982.
§ Mr. EggarThe Foreign Compensation Commission has now completed the determination and evaluation of claims against the Czech fund. It is hope to make a payout of 100 per cent. of the assessed value of claims to all successful claimants by the end of May. This will exhaust the balance in the Czech fund of approximately £4 million on the assumption that all applicants accept payment.
