To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what plans he has to review the level of his Department's funding of the Greater Manchester police in real terms during the current financial year; and if he will make a statement.

The Home Office meets, through police specific grant, 51% of police authorities' expenditure for police purposes. An additional contribution is made from central funds through block grant. We have no plans to review this level of funding.
