HC Deb 04 May 1988 vol 132 c452W
Mr. Cummings

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make it his policy to ensure that security staff handling passengers on flights from United Kingdom airports to Israel do not question the political beliefs of passengers.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

The Department does not require passengers flying to Israel or anywhere else to be questioned about their political beliefs.

It is open to airlines to add further security measures if they consider them necessary to protect their operations.
