To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he last met the Foreign Minister of China; and what was discussed.

My right hon. and learned Friend had talks with the then Foreign Minister Wu Xueqian on 10 and 11 March during his visit to the United Kingdom. Their agenda covered a wide range of bilateral and international subjects, including East-West relations, disarmament, the middle east and Hong Kong. He has yet to meet the new Foreign Minister, Qian Qichen.
