§ Mr. Donald ThompsonThe latest information available is from the Inland Revenue's "Survey of Personal Incomes, 1984/85", and is given in table 4.5 of "Farm Incomes in the United Kingdom" 1988 edition. This shows that for those with a self-employment income from agriculture and horticulture in the United Kingdom:
- (a) 15 per cent. had no other income than that arising from self-employment (virtually all from agriculture and horticulture) and,
- (b) 30 per cent. had income from employment (in or out of agriculture) in addition to income from self-employment.
