§ Mr. MaddenTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was(a) the budgeted cost and (b) the actual cost of processing nationality applications in the nationality division of his Department during 1987–88.
§ Mr. RentonThe processing of citizenship applications is required to be self-financing. The budgeted costs per case therefore equate to the fees charged. The outturn costs for 1987–88 are not yet available but will be published in due course.
