TaylorTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish a summary of the findings of the investigation of atmospheric concentrations of nitrogen dioxide in the west midlands commissioned by the air and noise division of his Department in collaboration with west midlands local authorities and in particular regarding emission from domestic balanced flue gas appliances, which investigations were the subject of a report in 1987.
§ Mr. MoynihanThe contractors for the west midlands survey of nitrogen dioxide concentrations, Midland Environment Ltd., will be presenting a summary paper on all aspects of the study to the investigation of air pollution standing conference, in Birmingham on 7 June this year. The Department, in line with normal practice, has also encouraged Midland Environment to publish papers on the survey results in the appropriate scientific and technical journals.
