To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what proportion of his Department's expenditure is spent in the inner cities.

Mr. Hurd

Much Home Office expenditure goes to inner city areas without being specifically targeted to them. It would involve disproportionate cost to calculate the sums involved.
