Kingdom's rejection of the European Commission proposal of December 1987 to implement the results of the North sea conference at European Community level.
§ Mr. MoynihanFar from rejecting any formal proposal, the United Kingdom agreed with all other member states of the Environment Council on 3 December 1987 on conclusions welcoming the significant progress made at the second international conference on the protection of the North sea. The council recalled the need to combat fresh water and marine pollution, and expected to pursue Community action in this field on the basis of appropriate proposals by the Commission.
