To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what inquiries are being undertaken into allegations of malpractice among bomb disposal teams operating at Scorriton Down.

My Department is not aware of any such allegations and neither the Ministry of Defence police nor the military authorities are conducting an inquiry in relation to personnel at Scorriton Down.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his answer of 9 March to the hon. Member for South Hams,Official Report, columns 214–15, if he can give an expected date for the recommencement of clearance operations at Scorriton Down.
