To ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will provide the Health and Safety Commission with additional funding to enable it to make more easily available copies of the Brown Book guide to "Safety Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations".

The Health and Safety Commission has been given a gross provision of £109.2 million for 1988–89. This is a substanital increase of £6.7 million over the previously planned provision for that year. It is for the commission and its executive to decide how best to allocate their resouces. The booklet on safety representatives and safety committees is available, price £2.
