HC Deb 29 March 1988 vol 130 c447W
Mr. Alfred Morris

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the work of the Access Committee for England and its plans for its next period of office.

Mr. Scott

The Access Committee for England has performed much valuable work to promote the interests of disabled people. I expect this to continue in the light of the terms of reference being prepared by the Centre on Environment for the Handicapped, the body asked by the Government to run the Access Committee for England, and the prospective appointment of a new access director.
