To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will meet Age Concern and other associated voluntary groups in Wales to discuss the impact of the April 1988 Social Security Regulations; and if he will make a statement.

Any representations from voluntary bodies in Wales to meet Ministers of this Department will always be given full consideration.

On 10 March my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister and my hon. Friend the Minister of State for Social Security met pensioner representatives including representatives from Welsh pensioners and discussed a number of topics, including the social security reforms which take effect from April.
