§ Mr. FreemanThe regulations under which medical downgrading of Army personnel may have been recommended before 1975 will have been contained in the following publications: The PULHEEM'S administrative pamphlet (1972); Regulations for Army Medical Services (1954); Queens Regulations for the Army 1961; the Army Commissioning Regulations 1971 and PULHEEM'S—A Joint Services System of Medical Classification 1951.
§ Mr. LivingstoneTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence (1), pursuant to the written answer of 29 February,Official Report, column 421, what is the significance in respect of the duties an individual is assessed as capable of performing of a medical report which recommends in a clinical summary of a patient's condition that the patient be medically downgraded from `S2' to `S3' on the PULHEEM'S system;
(2) if he will list the terms used under (a) S2 and (b) S3 of the PULHEEM'S system of medical reports.
§ Mr. FreemanThe terms used under the PULHEEM'S system of medical classification are as follows
S2, "emotionally fit to perform Army duties adequately under full combatant conditions in any part of the world:S3, "although having a history of emotional instability is at present well adjusted and fit to serve in any part of the world in a role which is not primarily a fighting one".
