§ Mr. Peter BottomleyOn abolition of the GLC, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State became responsible for safeguarding the protected corridor of the proposed dock lands northern relief road. The LDDC has developed proposals for docklands highways to provide access to developments within its area. These proposals, which include the south Poplar link road and the East India dock link road, follow the protected corridor. It is expected that they will have been completed by the early 1990s.
