To ask the the Attorney-General how many(a) solicitors and (b) barristers have been excluded from legal aid work either temporarily or for a specified period, for reasons connected with professional standards in the past five years.

The Attorney-General

In the last five years one solicitor has been registered as excluded from legal aid work for a specified period as a result of a decision of the Legal Aid (Complaints) Tribunal. No barrister has been so registered as excluded in that period.
