§ Mr. David EvansTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he proposes to widen the range of outside advice available to the Property Services Agency.
§ Mr. ChopeUnder present arrangements my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State and I are advised by the chief executive of the Property Services Agency who chairs the PSA board comprising his senior colleagues and three non-executive members drawn from the private sector. We have now appointed to the PSA board Mr. Jack Rodin, a senior partner and chief executive in Building Design Partnership. The appointment will run for a period of three years from March 1988. Mr. Rodin is a chartered engineer and fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers. His appointment will add to the valuable input provided by Mr. Brian Hill (Higgs and Hill Building Ltd), Mr. Leslie Cousins (Price Waterhouse) and Mr. John Brown (Peachy Property Corporation plc) in the fields of building, finance and estates respectively. In line with the other non-executive members Mr. Rodin will be paid £4,000 per annum during the tenure of his appointment.
