HC Deb 23 March 1988 vol 130 c119W
Mr. Allen

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster when he expects the Registrar of Companies to have secured the accounts of the Economic League for the year ended 31 December 1986; and if he will now consider prosecution.

Mr. Maude

The Registrar of Companies expects to receive the outstanding accounts without further delay. If, however, they are not received within the next few days, the Registrar will follow his normal practice and write individually to the directors of the company, reminding them of their obligations under the Companies Act 1985. He will also point out that they would render themselves liable to prosecution if acceptable accounts continue not be be delivered.
