To ask the Secretary of State for Energy (1) if uranium imported to the United Kingdom from Namibia for processing by British Nuclear Fuels Limited and re-export for Chubu Electric Company of Japan, is covered by(a) the International Atomic Energy Authority, (b) Euratom and (c) bilateral safeguards agreements;

(2) if uranium imported from Namibia to the United Kingdom for processing by British Nuclear Fuels Limited and re-export for Tokyo Electric is covered by safeguards;

(3) if uranium imported from South Africa to be processed by British Nuclear Fuels Limited for re-export for Tokyo Electric Company is covered by safeguards;

(4) if uranium imported from South Africa for processing and re-export by British Nuclear Fuels Limited for Taiwan Power Company is covered by (a) International Atomic Energy Authority, (b) Euratom or (c) bilateral safeguards;

(5) if uranium imported from South Africa to the United Kingdom for processing by British Nuclear Fuels Limited and re-export for Kansai Electric Company is under (a) International Atomic Energy Authority, (b) Euratom or (c) bilateral safeguards.

All civil nuclear material in the United Kingdom is subject to Euratom safeguards and to the terms of the United Kingdom/Euratom/IAEA agreement.
