To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what proportion of the cost to the borough of Rushmoor in Hampshire to effect the major technical repair programme on the Prospect estate for 1988–89 and subsequent years will be met by subsidy.

In the first place, this will depend upon the cost of the work undertaken by Rushmoor borough council. The Department is considering a request by the council that the subsidy rules be relaxed in this particular case.
