Mr. David Nicholson

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he will call for a report from the chairman of the Post Office on action taken by the Post Office following a letter dated 22 January from the area manager, counters, to sub-postmasters, in response to advice from the Department of Health and Social Security that recipients of pensions and benefits might receive those benefits through a bank or building society; and what expenditure the Post Office plans to incur in this respect.
