§ Mr. Teddy TaylorTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services why Mr. John Ashley French, of 6, Brecon Flats, Salisbury avenue, Westcliff on Sea, Essex, has not received his retirement pension in respect of his national insurance No. HA/31/96/36/D, despite having returned the appropriate forms to the Newcastle office in September 1987.
§ Mr. Scott[holding answer 25 February 1988]: Payment of retirement pension to Mr. French commenced on 7 March and arrears have been paid back to the date of his retirement on 10 January 1988. I regret that difficulties in determining Mr. French's correct entitlement led to delay in the award of retirement pension.
