HC Deb 21 March 1988 vol 130 cc48-9W
Mr. William Ross

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland pursuant to his answer to the hon. Member for East Londonderry of 10 March,Official Report, column 304, if he will indicate in what way the original warrants for Brendan Burns were held to be defective.

Mr. Stanley

I understand that the original warrants were held to be defective because they were issued by a different justice of the peace from the one before whom the "complaint" had been sworn.
