§ Mr. NewtonThe new staff grade is a non-training grade intended for doctors who do not wish or are unable to train for consultant status. The staff doctor will be clinically responsible to a nominated consultant for all tasks and duties of the post although the degree to which these are delegated will be a matter for consultants' clinical judgment.
