Member for Stretford of 1 March,Official Report, column 543, he will place in the Library copies of the report of the results of the surveys containing evidence that some employers are reluctant to recruit additional staff because of employment protection legislation; if he will list the surveys in the Official Report; and if he will give details of his assessment of the total national job loss caused.
§ Mr. NichollsResults of two studies by this Department were published as Research Papers 6 and 53 and placed in the Library. It is not possible to estimate the effect on job opportunities since the employment legislation is one of many factors to be considered by an employer.
