§ Mr. Michael SpicerConsent for the Sizewell B PWR was granted in March 1987. The CEGB applied in August 1987 for consent to construct, a PWR at Hinkley Point C. A public inquiry will be held, following objections from local planning authorities.
No other applications to build nuclear power stations have been received. The timing of applications and the choice of sites are matters for the CEGB.
