To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what assistance he intends to provide to the Mildmay mission hospital to provide help and hospice care for people with AIDS and HIV-related illnesses.

The Government have approved a further grant of £171,000 towards the capital cost of converting two wards at the hospital to provide help and hospice care for people with AIDS and HIV-related illness and a further revenue grant of £29,000 for the current financial year. This will bring the total capital grants approved for the Mildmay hospital this year to £321,000 and total revenue grants approved to £79,000.
