HC Deb 17 March 1988 vol 129 c645W
Mr. Tony Banks

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what information he has regarding the disposal of the items held by the London residuary body termed the GLC Heritage Collection.

Mr. Chope

I understand that the board of the London residuary body has made a decision to transfer most of the artefacts to the Greater London record office, where they will be available for public inspection. Other artefacts will be transferred to successor bodies such as the London fire and civil defence authority and the Thames water authority. Pending completion of agreements, the artefacts are in secure storage.
