§ Mr. DunnWe are not yet in a position to announce future grants to the Workers' Educational Association districts. These will be determined in the light of the resources available and the Government's priorities.
In the current Session, three letters about the association have been received from hon. Members. Additionally, my noble Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, received a request for a meeting from the association's national executive to discuss the work of the WEA and the funding arrangements.
Officials from the Department are currently discussing the future of the association with its representatives.
