§ Mr. Douglas HoggWhere space is available, policy is to provide each prison officer with an individual locker. At Wandsworth, because of space constraints, it has only been possible to provide two thirds of the staff with individual lockers. We are presently looking at ways in which extra space might be secured to provide for additional lockers.
§ Mr. CoxTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the number of showers for the use of prison officers in each of the wings or relaxation areas in Wandsworth prison; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Douglas HoggStaff showers are provided at Wandsworth prison in the hospital, the gymnasium, the reception area and the works department. There are no staff showers elsewhere.
