§ 66. Mr. CohenTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement about the Government's plans for funding of university dental schools.
Mr. JacksonA working party set up to review dental education reported to the University Grants Committee on 25 February. The report, copies of which are available in the Library, has been sent to universities, relevant540W Government Departments and professional bodies for comment. A reduction of 10 per cent. in the intake to dental schools will be effected in October 1989, but no final decisions have been taken on the funding of individual schools.
