§ Mrs. RumboldThe Education Reform Bill proposes that science should be a core subject, and technology a foundation subject, in the national curriculum. My Department supports the many organisations which aim to increase the links between school and industry, and it is actively promoting the development of a coherent programme of careers education and guidance in schools.
