§ Mr. CoxTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what information he has as to how many local authorities are(a) imposing and (b) not imposing the availability and fair rent conditions, as contained in sections 503 and 504 of the Housing Act 1985, in (i) housing action and general improvement areas and (ii) in all other areas.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThe information is not collected centrally, but it is a requirement of section 503 of the Housing Act 1985 that, with certain specified exceptions, local authorities must impose the further letting conditions listed in section 504 in relation to any grant-aided property situated in a housing action area or general improvement area.
