HC Deb 15 March 1988 vol 129 c562W
Mr. Dobson

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services when the first admission to the cardiac block at Great Ormond street hospital took place; and when the block will achieve full occupation.

Mrs. Currie

[holding answer 14 March 1988]: Twenty four patients were admitted to the new block, which currently houses 38 children, on 29 December. Provided the current rate of nurse recruitment can be sustained, the authority expects the total capacity of 52 patients to be reached by the end of July.
