§ Mr. GristThe Department was first notified of the possibility of the temporary closure of the high dependency unit at St. Tydfil's hospital in December 1987 and was told in January that a decision to close had been taken. Since the closure is temporary, there was no requirement on the authority to obtain my approval. I have received three representations about the closure.
