§ Mr. Ian StewartThe NATO defence planning symposium normally takes place in Oberammagau in January each year. The United Kingdom is normally represented by officials from the Ministry of Defence and other Government Departments, as well as staff of the United Kingdom delegation to the North Atlantic Council and the United Kingdom military representative at NATO. No firm arrangements have yet been made for next year's conference.
