To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services which socio-economic group is most affected by invasive carcinoma in the United Kingdom.

[holding answer 22 February 1988]: The latest available information on socio-economic groups affected by malignant neoplasms is given in the table which shows information for Great Britain on mortality for all malignant neoplasms by socio-economic group for the years 1979–80, 1982–83. Data for later years, and for the United Kingdom as a whole, are not available.
