To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the expected date of completion of the external works on the cardiac block at Great Ormond street.

This scheme, which is mainly concerned with landscaping and does not affect the use of the new facilities, is now planned for completion in May.

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the total cost to date of the restoration works undertaken on the cardiac block at Great Ormond street hospital.

So far about £17.25 million has been paid in fees and construction costs.
