§ Mr. Ron DaviesTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will give details of the outstanding forestry planting grant and felling licence applications referred to him by the Forestry Commission; when each was so referred; when he expects to be able to announce a decision for each one; and for which cases further consultation is still being considered.
§ Mr. Gummer[holding answer 10 March 1988]:My right hon. Friend is considering one forestry planting grant application to which objections have been raised. This application relates to 60 hectares of land at West Stotley, Northumberland and was referred to him on 25 November 1987. He has consulted his right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for the Environment, and intends to advise the forestry commissioners of his views shortly.
