§ Mr. Barry JonesTo ask the Secretary of State for Energy if, during preparation of the proposals for privatisation of the electricity supply industry, any estimate has been made by his Department of (i) the present value of Connah's Quay power station and (ii) the cost of refurbishing it to produce power while meeting current environmental standards; and if he will make a statement on the policy he will require the Central Electricity Generating Board to adopt towards the disposal of redundant power stations prior to privatisation.
